Cannot open or delete a zip file on mac

I have an old zip file I want to delete. It will no longer open & I can't delete it; deleting activity never completes.

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.2

Cannot unpack zip-file. I have a normal zip-file (close to 1 GB). I hided it with HIDE FOLDER; sometimes I unhided it ("Show"), than "HIDE" again. It worked normally before the hiding and unhiding. Now, when shown I click on it or double click and it says "Cannot unpack; format is not supported." The name is just "archive Oh.zip". All this on a MacBook Air early 2014, Catalina 10.15.1 I have no backup of this file.

Why my mac can't unzip files? I double click the .zip file and then this happens: Can anyone help me?

unzipping downloaded files i am attempting to unzip i file i have downloaded to finder, on my Mac running Big Sur, can anybody help?

Restart your Mac in Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) and try again.
