Apple watch

Before update I could raise my watch and the time would appear. Now I get nothing unless I tap (sometimes twice) before I see anything. I have everything checked to raise my arm to see the time. What do I do so I can raise the time will appear?

Make sure Theatre Mode (icon with 2 masks) is not on.

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to see the Control Centre
Scroll down using the Digital Crown
Switch Theatre Mode OFF.
