Resetting SMC could solve your issue.
How to reset the SMC of your Mac - Apple Support
If it doesn't help, contact Apple Support or make Genius Bar reservation if your neighborhood retail Apple Store is open or find near opened Apple Authorized Service Provider to be examined your MacBook Air.

Turn off Macbook Air ,close lid for 1 minute ,open lid then plug usb c cable back in.This worked for me.This is sort of a NVRAM or SMC reset for M1 Macs.Battery no charge problem was fixed doing this so it must work.
The reset SMC instructions referenced cover the T2 chip, which doesn't seem to be present in the new M1 MacBooks

This is an M1. Unlike Intel-based Macs the new Apple M1 chip doesn’t come with a manual NVRAM or SMC reset option. There's no System Management Controller on M1 devices.
