Sender of Voice iMessage - where are my sent, saved audio messages?

RE: REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

Hello Apple Support

I am writing to ask you where to recover the iMessages I sent to a group and to an individual, steps to recreate the issue:

  1. sent an audio iMessage to a group of two people, and they replied
  2. tried to forward the audio iMessage sent to another recipient, unsuccessfully
  3. tried to save the audio iMessages I sent and received confirmation message the message saved, however when I tried to locate the audio iMessage for which I am the sender, the remedy Apple provided in earlier correspondence, didn’t work

it is unreasonable for us to search so hard for our data, and not find it

When you send an audio message via iMessage the audio message will automatically be deleted and removed from the conversation. This is the default setting which is optimized to save space after the message is heard. The audio message can be saved to the chat. This can be accomplished by selecting the "Keep" text which will appear under the audio message bubble in blue text. Below is an example of the scenario:

Once you select the "Keep" option you can then press and hold the message to copy the audio file and either save the file to your phone or paste the audio file into a new message thread. You can also save incoming audio messages in the same fashion and save them or copy and paste them.

If you did not save this audio message when you initially sent it or recieved it, it is most likely gone.

Hope this helps.
