World clock widget is inaccurate

It is now 11:16 in the morning in London

The time shows accurately on iphone clock however widget time is incorrect and also showing as night time

The Clock widget does not keep the correct time. I loaded the clock widget and set it for New York City (NYC) to show the East coast time zone. I looked at it a little after 6 pm and the time it displayed was 2:26. I checked and it was set for New York City and when I clicked on it to open the widget it showed the correct time. When I closed it the widget display still showed the incorrect time. I removed the widget and reinstalled it, again set New York City (NYC). It displayed correctly - at first. After 5 minutes I looked at it and the widget time was about 2½ minutes behind the actual time. Bottom line is, the Clock widget does not keep correct time. Also, there are no available topics to choose from for this.

World Clock still can't tell day from night It's been 14 years since the question was first asked about the white/black faces on city clocks in the iPad's World Clock app. Back then it was suggested that the clock face color changes at 6 AM and 6 PM (local time), which is often not a good approximation of sunrise and sunset, esp. during DST. After all these years, that appears to still be true. World Clock has the times of sunrise/sunset for all the cities and could easily compare those with the local time to determine a very close approximation to day and night, but I guess Apple doesn't consider it worth fixing.

If so, follow these steps:

Go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
Turn off Set Automatically.
Now you can change the time zone or the date and time: Tap Time Zone and enter a city with the time zone that you need. (Not sure which city to enter?

If you can't change the time or time zone on your iPhone, iPad ...
