World Clock still can't tell day from night

It's been 14 years since the question was first asked about the white/black faces on city clocks in the iPad's World Clock app. Back then it was suggested that the clock face color changes at 6 AM and 6 PM (local time), which is often not a good approximation of sunrise and sunset, esp. during DST. After all these years, that appears to still be true. World Clock has the times of sunrise/sunset for all the cities and could easily compare those with the local time to determine a very close approximation to day and night, but I guess Apple doesn't consider it worth fixing.
