App store gift card in Apple store

I bought £500 of gift cards for daughter to get new phone (with trade in). Bought the similarly named App Store gift cards vs Apple Store ones. Doesn’t seem possible to transfer easily but it MUST be possible. Surely! All help appreciated

It's not possible, App Store gift cards can only be used with an iTunes account (iTunes, App Store, Bookstore, Mac App Store). You could try contacting Support and see if they can/will help (e.g. 'get support' link at the top right of every page on here)
