CANCELLING SUBSCRIPTION
I have been trying to get into my account to cancel a subscription but everytime it tells me cannot connect retry. i have been trying for weeks and cant get into my subscriptions to manage them
any ideas?

Use the Contact Support link at the top of this screen and navigate to iTunes Store support.
I am not clear about your concern. However...
There are two type of subscription
1st GIF
2nd GIF
If you don't see the subscription that you're looking for
If you tried to see or cancel a subscription and you can't find the subscription that you're looking for, check the following things. Or contact Apple Support.
Is the subscription billed through another company?
On your bank statement, find the charge for the subscription. If it does not say iTunes, Apple, or something similar, the subscription might not be billed through Apple.
Get help with subscriptions that aren't billed through Apple.
Did a family member sign up for the subscription?
A Family Sharing organizer can’t manage subscriptions for other family members. Ask your family members to change or cancel their subscriptions from their own devices or when they're signed in with their own Apple ID. You can also use Ask to Buy to control what kids buy.

Did you subscribe with a different Apple ID?
To see subscriptions for a different Apple ID, sign in with that Apple ID, then follow the steps in this article.
my subscription was purchased thru the app store. i had no issues before but i have tried going itunes, going to my my apple id in my phone under settings. i get into my id but i hit subscriptions and i get the same response every time "cannot connect " retry
i will get charged again Jan 2 and now i want to cancel because i no longer need it.

i am actually going thru those steps but when i get to subscriptions - i hit it and then what pops up is "cannot connect retry
i just a bit frustrated
And you tried every one of the 4 ways that are described in the link I posted?
thanks at least i got the subscription cancelled talking to apple support.
