watch 6 always-on doesn't work

Apple watch 6.

Always on used to work and it just stopped. I tried...

* Different watch face

* Reboot

* Turn on and off Always-on from both my watch and my phone!

Hello Davidsmi,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We understand that the Always On feature on your Apple Watch 6 doesn't always work. We're happy to help!

Let's ensure a few things are enabled or disabled:

Make sure that Theater Mode is not enabled. When enabled theater mode will cause the watch to not activate the display and the Always On display will not have the display on.

Make sure that Always On is enabled on the watch. In the Watch app on your iPhone, select Display and verify that Always On is enabled.

If you're still having issues we recommend contacting Apple Support directly.
