How to disable USB verification ?

Hello,

I own a Corsair Void RGB Elite Wireless running the latest firmware (v0.15) and wondered if it was possible to connect it to my phone (an iphone 7 with ios 14.0.1). The headset is not bluetooth, it’s using an usb 3.0 2.4GHz RF dongle.

I know, i know, it shouldn’t work.

But anyway I bought a lightning-usb cable.

Now I tried multiple times, and it worked 3 seconds after plugging the dongle in, and my phone even recognized it as an audio device. So everything was working perfectly, by two/three minutes later, I got an error saying that the “usb device is not recognized” and the sound turned off, the only way to get it working again was to unplug/plug it back.

Is there a way to block this verification ? Thanks !

iPhone 7, iOS 14

Hello whitebowfr,

It sounds as though you're wanting to use a third-party USB headset with your iPhone, and being prompted that the device isn't being recognized. This can be do to the device not being Apple-certified or not supported by the iPhone. You can find some great troubleshooting steps in the following articles that may help with resolving this issue.

If you see an 'Accessory may not be supported' alert

If you continue to have issues after completing those steps you'll want to isolate the issue by using an Apple-certified accessory such as the EarPods that came with the iPhone. If those work as expected you'll want to contact the headphone manufacturer for additional support.

Have a great week!
