My cell phone carrier information did not transfer to my new iPhone 12s. I am not able to receive or send phone calls or text messages

iPhone 12 pro provisioning I got my new iPhone 12 Pro yesterday. Transferred from the old phone easily and everything worked fine. Except I couldn’t send/receive text messages and make phone calls. In contrast my wife’s iPhone 12 worked perfectly. In checking Apple forums I see many, many such messages and a few stated the iPhone 12 pro and Max need to be provisioned by the carrier. In the meantime missed a critical meeting because of this problem. Then I called ATT. Took 25 min of hold and then the tech told me she had to provision the line. if you ask me this is stupid. Apple should have figured this out. Incredible waste of time and money. Apple. Please fix this now, so others don’t have to miss meetings and other important calls to get their phone provisioned manually.

13PRO MAX won't make calls or send/receive texts Upgraded my iPhone XS to a 13PRO and transferred all data successfully. Shortly after transfer was complete, my new 13PRO stopped being able to make calls and send/receive texts. How do I fix this? Both new and old have SIMS and upgraded through the Carrier. Makes no sense- please help.

Ensure that you have an active service SIM card in your iPhone 12. You may not be able to use your previous SIM card since your carrier may require a SIM card suitable for 5G. Call your carrier or visit them and get an active SIM card.
