ssd replacement for bigger hard disk
On my macbook pro 13” year 2016 with touchbar there is a 256gb ssd. I need more space and I would like to replace it with 512gb ssd or more. Is it possible?
MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.0

No, it is not possible to upgrade a USB-C Mac to a larger SSD because the SSD is soldered to the Logic Board on most models. If you happen to have the non-Retina model, then technically the SSD is separate from the Logic Board, but it is yet another new and unique Apple proprietary PCIe SSD connector. Perhaps you can find a used or pulled SSD online, but expect to pay a lot for it as official Apple SSDs are extremely expensive. Usually it is cheaper to buy another laptop.

FYI, when buying just about any new Mac now you need to plan ahead and make sure to purchase enough memory and a large enough SSD for the life of your Mac since most Macs are no longer upgradeable after purchase.
Also make sure to have frequent & regular backups since it is impossible to recover accidentally deleted data from an SSD plus an SSD can fail at any time without any warning signs. While an AASP may possibly be able to recover data from a non-working 2016-2017 MBPro, it is almost unlikely an AASP can recover any data from a 2018+ T2 MBPro since the Mac must be able to go into DFU mode.
