iTunes could not back up the iPhone because the iPhone disconnected.

I have had my iPhone 12 Pro Max for almost a month. Every time I want to sync my iPod Shuffle and iPhone to iTunes, iTunes backs up my iPhone. This was working until a few days ago. Now, at the 6th step of back up, I get [ iTunes could not back up the iPhone "abc" because the iPhone disconnected. ] I have seen several solutions on tech sites but the problem comes back. The only workaround that works is to delete the MobileSync folder in Windows 10. That is a lame workaround!!! I have to delete the backup so that iTunes can continue with the backup? There has got to be a better solution?
