When trying to delete old email address (Apple ID) to new email, it says email is already in use. But I set up that Apple ID via Apple.com.
How do I bypass this logic?

If you set up a new Apple ID using the email address you want to use on the older ID, you can't use that email address on an older Apple ID. Apple IDs can't be merged.
