Irish Postal Address Dec 2020

Hi,

I am trying to set up an Applie ID to purchase apps however the system will not accept Eircode postal codes. I have searched for a solution online, found suggestions that 0000, 000000, Eire, etc would work. none of these do. On the 'Manage your account' page under postcode it states 'postcode may be empty' however when I leave it empty it will not accept. How do you proceeed to finish setup to access the app store if I can not bypass the postcode option. please advise.

Hi there, Robynon,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you're unable to create a new Apple ID because the postcode is not accepted.

Which device are you using to create the Apple ID? Do you experience the same behavior if you create the same Apple ID using a web browser on a computer? This article will show you how: How to create a new Apple ID

Cheers!
