MARSHALL ACTON II responds with iPhone but not with MacBook Pro

I have a Marshall Acton II amp and it does not respond with de MacBook Pro as it used to do. I runs perfectly well as paired with an iPhone. Other devices such as iPods do work with the computer. The only thing I believe I have changed is the download of the new OS.

Any ideas?

Hello MACSQUESTIONS and welcome to Apple Support Communities. It appears you are having some difficulty with a Marshall Acton II Bluetooth speaker as it pertains to connecting to a recently upgraded Mac.

Use Bluetooth devices with Mac

It appears from looking at specs for that Marshall speaker that it incorporates some advanced function including the ability to use two as a stereo pair. Given that this goes beyond a simple Bluetooth data connection and that this happened after installing macOS Big Sur, you may need to reach out to Marshall to inquire about a possible firmware update.

Cheers.
