How do I get rid of the sidebar on my ipad?

The side bar functionality is an iOS/iPadOS functionality that can and usually is enabled in applications built to run on those platforms, and ca;be easily disabled by the user, but it depends on the application. (Although a quick sear in the application’s onboard help should tell you how to do it if it’s not readily apparent from the tool bar or menu bar.

Or did you possibly mean side car, which Is something else entirely, I.e., the functionality of using one’s side car capable iPad as a second monitor for an Apple laptop computer.
