Phone activation

Phone setup mostly ok. But phone #activation hasn’t happened. Can’t get messages or use as a telephone to make calls.

Your new iPhone needs active cellular / mobile service on it. Can you try and remove the active SIM card form your old iPhone that you used to transfer the data from and install that SIM card in your new iPhone? Once you do that then the active cellular / mobile service will be transferred to your new iPhone and you will be able to make and receive messages and phone calls.

If you have further issues then do not hesitate to contact your Cellular Service Provider.
