Safe to delete?: "com.apple.cloudphotosd/services/com.apple.photo.icloud.sharedstreams"

Hi Everyone,

I am after some help please.

I have 23gigs of photo files accumulating in the folder below and would like to delete them if safe to do so.

Could anyone tell me please:

1. what the purpose of the photo files is in the folder below is and
2. will my shared streams be impacted if I remove them ?

Location:

Library/Containers/com.apple.cloudphotosd/Data/Library/Application Support/com.apple.cloudphotosd/services/com.apple.photo.icloud.sharedstreams
