Issues with trying to download base line OS Mojave 10.14

I'm having issues getting Mojave from the app store. when I click open it gives me this error message: "This copy of the Install macOS Mojave application is damaged, and can‘t be used to install macOS."

I've tried to download in both "safe mode" and normal mode. I can not open any other mojave updates without the base line version. I currently have the most recent High Sierra update. any help is appreciated. thanks

That error is really saying that the App Store has detected a copy of the

Install macOS Mojave.app in your Applications folder.

Locate it, move it to the Trash, empty the Trash.

Connect your mac to your router via cable rather than WiFi.

Restart your mac go back to the App Store Mojave page

it should now say Get or Download not Open.

You should now be able to download the full installer app.

Do not use your mac while it is downloading and do not use any

other devices that share the same internet connection.

Install macOS Mojave.app will be downloaded to your Applications folder

it will be 6.05GBs in size, and will install the latest/ last version of Mojave

which is version 10.14.6, this is all you need to install Mojave,

no other full installer versions are available for download.
