My Imac documents folder did not migrate to to my new imac

I just used migration assistant and migrated from an old Imac to a new one, but I don't see the documents folder where all my word and other files are organized. I see an icloud documents folder, but I don't have many files in there. Most of my work is on my old imac in a documents folder that appears not to have migrated.

The proper time and way to migrate to a new iMac, is during the initial setup. If you migrated to the new iMac after the initial setup, then your old user data is most likely in a second user account.

To check for two user accounts, go to Apple > System Preferences > Users & Groups and look to see if both user accounts are listed there. Or optionally go to Apple > Log Out and see if you are presented with two user accounts at login.
