Not getting notifications on my iPhone when I get a text message

How do I fix the glitch of not getting a notification when I get a text message? It is seriously effecting my work.

ios 16.1.1 not allowing text messages alerts After updating my iPhone 12 to iOS 16.1.1 I no longer get notification alerts for my text messages. The text message comes through and the notification shows on screen, but no tone is heard. I have enabled the correct buttons under notifications and the volume is okay. I can manually sound the tone, so it not that. Anyone else having this problem?
