iPhone 12 Pro screenshots turn out darker than the photo / video

I take a lot of videos and then screenshot the video for photos. however, I have an iPhone 12 Pro and every single screenshot turns out darker than the actual video. I've turned off the auto-dim feature, no zoom is on, and I've turned off the HDR and nothing has worked. Is this a bug? Are there any fixes to this? Please help. thank you.
