Can I store photos on my iCloud storage without taking up phone storage?

Yes you can do that but the photos will take up minimal storage if you use the Optimize iPhone Storage feature. The way this works is you open Settings âž” Photos âž” Optimize iPhone Storage : Set this to ON.

Once you do that then all your photos will be stored in high resolution on iCloud and low resolution on your iPhone. This will save a lot of space on your iPhone. When you retrieve or view your photo(s) on your iPhone then it will be converted to high resolution.
