Apple Watch workout icon in progress/flashing all the time

Over the past day or so, the workout complication is constantly pulsing and the workout progress icon is showing at the top of the screen all the time. I also keep getting notifications that my phone is in do not disturb during a workout even though I’m not doing a workout. I’ve restarted it, following some steps for a similar issue in here. I’ve even disabled heart rate and fitness tracking and it’s still doing it. I’ve ensured there are no other open apps. Restarted my iPhone. Seems to be since the recent update that it’s doing this. Please can someone help?
