home Pod not working with Home application

My new Home pod has been configuring for the last 24 hours. Cannot set up as a home hub

See Reset HomePod - Apple Support and start over. There was in issue affecting some users with iCloud and Sign In on the 25th/26th which should now be resolved. Perhaps your device just got stuck in a loop.
