just setting up with home pod mini. I have 3 of them but it appears it will not connect more than two at the same time. I was hoping to get a total of 6, but I do not understand the connection issues. All have strong wifi signal, no restrictions on the network as far as I know.
You can pair two to work as one but you can still play to all in sync. You can AirPlay to all 3 or ask Siri to play to all or everywhere
So for 6 you would do three pairs
To create a stereo pair, both HomePod speakers need to be assigned to the same room.

They should all play in sync or one at a time.
You could try a reset then set it up again.
*Keep in mind they all need to be on the same wifi network - rebooting your wifi may also help,
You can try a restart first, then if it still doesn’t work: Reset HomePod
To Restart HomePod:
Open the Home App - go to the Room it’s in
Long press on the HomePod icon to bring up settings, scroll down to the gear icon, tap that, scroll to the bottom to Reset HomePod - then select Restart HomePod
Thanks. Am not looking to pair them as stereo. Totally separate rooms. Simply would not operate independently or together. I think one of them is a bad unit. Will try an exchange and see if that takes care of it.
