Audio Issue in Logic Pro X

I'm making the switch from Garageband to Logic Pro X my issue is I can hear everything fine in Garageband but not Logic. I'm using a Focusrite Scarlett 212 audio interface with an AT2020 MIC and both the input and output settings are set for the Focusrite in both Garageband and Logic (I also set the input and output for Focusrite in the Factory System Preferences). My mic is picking up vocals/sound in Logic because I can hear them in my headphones when i turn on Input monitoring but the audio in the mixer track isn't moving' so when i press record I can't hear anything (it's not moving in green) (and yes 48v/phantom power is on) what could be the issue? i hope i explained my issue with detailed.
