HomePod does not read incoming messages. It says ‘having a problem with the connection’ how do you rectify this issue?

HomePod mini connection issues I have a smart light switch set up to use shortcuts on my iPhone. When I ask my HomePod mini to use the shortcut, it says “I am having problems with the connection, please try again later”. About a half hour later, I asked the same thing again, and it says, “Still having problems with the connection, please try again later”. Sometimes when I do it, it works, but most of the time it doesn’t and it is generally in the evening. What do I do to fix this?

Power cycle your HomePod and router and see if things work any better.
