BIGSUR - Macbook Pro (mid 2014) does not restart without cables unplugged. Why?

Dear - I have a mac book pro late mid 2014 version. I could only install big sur after unplugging all cables attached to the macbook. Now, big sur works well, however, when (re-)starting the mac, I need to first unplug all cables, or it won't restart.why?

Maybe you have a compatibility issue with one of the external devices. Try each external device by itself to see if the issue is with one particular device.

Are those external devices connected directly to the laptop or are you using a hub, dock, or an adapter?

Is the charger connected and working when this happens?

Try an SMC Reset and a PRAM Reset (hold the PRAM reset for at least three chimes).

Run the Apple Diagnostics.

Is this a boot issue or a power on issue? Does the laptop power on at all when the external devices are connected?
