In Catalina, Cmd-D should activate the delete button. That doesn't work in Big Sur anymore.

You and also turn on full keyboard navigation and tab to the Delete button. It will get an outline when selected, then press the space bar to activate it. Keyboard System Preferences > Shortcuts > Use keyboard navigation…
