Mac OS Catalina. Remove floating microphone in MacBook.

How do I remove the microphone icon floating on my desktop? Dictation is off, VoiceOver is off.

MacBook, macOS 10.15

To get started, let's see if Voice Control is enabled using the steps shown in this link here: Use Voice Control on your Mac

If it is, let's try disabling this feature, and let us know if that removes the microphone icon from your desktop.

I thought that VoiceControl was the same as VoiceOver! Your message made me check again the Accessibility screen and I realized that Voice Control was further down the list... problem solved!
