As you stated, it still does what it did when I bought it (refurbished by Apple) in 2013. I use it (mostly) for genealogical research. So I will keep until it dies, which at this rate will be another 8 years. I did recently upgrade the RAM to 8GB so it’s faster now.
So Apple is attempting to force those of us with older models to upgrade eh?
No. Just stay with what you have. It still does what it did when you bought it.
But it is eight years old, maybe time for an upgrade.
