are you supposed to peel of the plastic screen covering? We have a brand new macbook pro 13 and there were bubbles in the top left of the screen. i lifted it a little bit but it feels a bit thick to be a removable protective film.

Hello Acorn69,

You have a great question about whether or not your new MacBook Pro has a protective film over the display, and we can help answer this.

There can certainly be a protective film that comes on the display to protect it in the box. However, if one is present, it should easily come off, and not make you feel hesitant of its removal. Based on your description, it sounds like you are a bit concerned about how it's coming off when you attempt to remove it. To be sure there isn't an issue with your screen, we suggest reaching out to Apple Support using this link Get Support, or visiting with a local Apple Authorized Service Provider or Apple Store (depending on your location), so they can confirm its not an issue with the actual display: Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector

Have a great day.
