Please tell me how to secure my 12 year olds iPhone 8

my daughter bought my granddaughter an iPhone 8 last year for Christmas. She’s way smarter about it than her mom and probably me. She & her mom share an appleid. So mom can see what she’s doing. Problem is TIKTOK and other predatory social media platforms. How can I block this from her phone? I already did it like Sprint said but their kids security isn’t much. I’m locked in contract and need my daughter to be able to be safe at her dads when we are apart and do her virtual school but be protected too. Please help a tech challenged gramma!

Your daughter and granddaughter should not share an Apple ID. A separate (child) Apple ID should be created and then content/downloads can be managed.

I don't have kids, so I've never had to go thru these myself.. but hopefully these links will guide you
