Big Sur Music app does not recognize my iPad Pro.

The Music app on my MacBook Pro running OS 11.1 does not recognize my iPad Pro running iOS 14.2 when I attempt to sync. However, the Photos app does recognize my iPad Pro, and I also confirmed my iPad was successfully connected by viewing the USB settings in the System Report (attached).

Strangely, the Music app does recognize my iPhone 10 also running iOS 14.2.

Hello scottmil,

It looks like the Music app on your Mac isn't recognizing your iPad even though the computer is able to see the iPad under the USB device tree. In macOS Catalina and Big Sur, it is expected behavior that Music app isn't used for syncing and Finder now does syncing, and here is more info about this change:

What happened to iTunes?

Use the Finder to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer

Regards.
