I want to transfer to iPhone12 and Motorola said they no longer support their android to iPhone Migrate

I just purchased a iPhone12 and have tried to transfer data from my Moto g5 using Move IOS, and have called Apple twice and was sent to a supervisor after many attempts by customer service to be then left waiting for the supervisor for 15 to 20 minutes just to be cut off by a busy signal. It appears this is a widespread issue. I bought a iPhone because my kids had a lot of success with the system and I have had my share of problems with android, and no problems with my iPad. I also called Motorola who said their Migrate software is no longer supported, and I have talked to Ting my cell phone system provider and they have suggested fixes and nothing works. Used the plug both phones in, put the android on plane mod and sign into wifi, check that both are on the same wifi, restart both units, ad infinitum. I have been working on this for three days and never had this kind of issue EVER. I think the next step is finally getting to talk to someone who knows how this can be solved at Apple, or buy a $60 third party program which may of may not work. What I used to like about Apple was I never had a problem. This is a common problem and by now their should have been a fix, other than this nightmare. I thinking of send this back and getting a good Pixel which must be well supported by Google. Please help ALL the Apple devotees or those who upgrade to Apple to have a trouble free experience, TO HAVE THAT EXPERIENCE!

This is a user-to-user technical support site operated by Apple, you aren't speaking to anyone who can change this. You are also posting in a public forum so be prepared for lots of spam to that email address, I will ask the moderators to remove it.

If the steps in the article you came here from don't work, and your android version is too old to run migration software then there is nothing anyone here can do to fix that. Decide the highest priority of items you want to move and work on them. If it is photos move them to your computer and then sync them from there. For contacts you can either recover them from your email provider or export them as vcf to your computer and then sync them to your iPhone. For apps that you have you will need to contact each developer and see if they have a means to export the data.
