What will take adobe's place and how do I install it?

Assuming Adobe Flash: there is nothing users need to do. If a website has not updated their content to newer technologies, that content will not be viewable.

Adobe is a company that makes dozens of products. Which one are you referring to?

If by chance you mean Adobe Flash. Then you should not need anything to replace it. Flash has been superseded by other technologies already built into current browsers. Unless you still need access a website that uses Flash, you should not need it. The vast majority of comercial websites you may access have long since moved away from flash.

If you still need to access a flash based website, then you can keep flash while you look for alternatives. There is no replacement for it.

Yes, PDFs are the common form of files for statements. As above, no special app is required to deal with such files on a Mac. Preview has always been able to view such files, and have an ability to do minor editing to such files.

Are you referring to Flash Player? If so, you don't replace it with anything. There is no current Flash content. Any remaining Flash content will be obsolete and no longer accessible.

If you are receiving statements, I would assume they would be PDF type files. They are unrelated to Adobe Flash, instead they would open with Adobe Reader, or better still they open with Preview (built into the Mac OS).

Are you certain it was Flash? As mentioned maybe it was Adobe Reader. If they are PDFs they use Adobe Reader, not Flash. There should be nothing you need to do if that is the case.
