Ignore Kids music?

Hello-

Sharing a home with a toddler is challenging enough. Now my Apple Music algorithm is turning against me too! I keep getting song recommendation/radio insertions for kids music, "heavy rotation" albums about garbage trucks, and Top tracks collections full of Disney songs.

I've tried "disliking" individual tracks, but it's whack-a-mole and I'm losing. I've set up the HomePod in my son's playroom to not track music history, but that doesn't help in the car, the kitchen, the dining room, or anywhere else I need to soothe him.

Is there anything I can do to save my well-curated music recommendations? Or is this just another bit of my old life that I have to give up, recognizing that I am now a Parent and not an Adult Human? Can anyone help?

HomePod, 14

Hello Chris Streeter,

We understand you'd like to stop seeing kid-friendly music in your recommendations. We'd be happy to provide information.

Apple Music learns the music you like and recommends songs, albums, and playlists based on your tastes. Your music taste is determined by the music played from your account.

Alternatively you can Set up Family Sharing to separate your music from your son's music. You can learn about this and how this works in Family Sharing and Apple ID for your child.

If you'd like to leave feedback about this, you can do so here: Product Feedback

We hope this helps.
