I have accidentally deleted a whole conversation with a friend on mt iPhone when I meant to delete 3 messages. our conversation is saved on my MacBook. is there a way to transfer It from the MacBook back to my iPhone? the messages were not backed up on my phone.

If you had enabled iCloud messages, then probably what you see is only temporary. It will also go away. If you delete on one device it is deleted on all devices using the same Apple ID.
