Sync iMessages from MacBook Pro to iPhone

I managed to erase an entire iMessage conversation from my iPhone, but it's still on the Macbook Pro.

How do I get the conversation back to the iPhone?

Imessage is not backed up to iCloud...

Hi Babybear5000,

Thanks for reaching out about recovering your iMessage conversation. We can help with this. Since you're not using "Messages in iCloud", the best way to restore an iMessage conversation is to erase your iPhone and restore a backup from before the thread was erased. Keep in mind that anything new that was added between now and then will be removed.
