Opening a scanned QR Code in another app besides Safari

Is there a way to set up a QR code that opens a target application besides Safari?

For example, I would prefer the Facebook app opens and takes a person to my page, rather than it taking them to Safari and they having to most likely have to log in to Facebook via the web, where most people who use Facebook are already logged into the app.

This could also apply to Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. to handle launch commands presented in QR Codes.

I would like to encode my QR Code text to be something like: facebook:@mypage (on its own line) and then upon the user clicking the notification in the Camera app the Facebook app would launch and navigate to the specified page or profile.

Where would I make such a proposal that this be a method to handle QR Codes that can launch specific apps?

iPhone 7, iOS 14
