Typing lag on the app iMessage - iPhone 11

The other discussion was marked as “resolved”, but it’s not. I keep on having a lag when I type in iMessages on my iPhone 11. The first two words or so don’t appear as I type them, but then they all populate at once. Afterwards I can type without any issues. The problem ONLY happens on my iMessage app on my phone, and not on any other app or on my MacBook Pro. Since iMessage is the only app with the problem, I’m guessing it’s a software glitch and not a hardware thing. I only got my phone back in March (when it was still the newest and greatest phone out there), so no one blame it on it being an “old” phone.

Anyone find a fix?
