- Verify that your Apple TV has a proper room designation from HomeKit. Users have found that this was needed.

- Try restarting both the Apple Watch and the Apple TV. Some users have found that this was needed for them.

On one of the attempts a code showed on my watch’s screen.

See step 2 below:

Work out with Apple Fitness+ - Apple Support

Work out on Apple TV

    1. Open the Fitness app.
    2. Select yourself. Select Other if you're not signed in as the primary account and don't have your Apple Watch paired with the Apple TV. To pair your Apple Watch, open the Workout app on your watch and enter the code displayed on the Apple TV.
    3. Find and select your workout.
    4. Select the Play button, and your metrics from your Apple Watch will appear onscreen.
    5. Pause and resume your workout as needed on your device or Apple Watch.

After your workout ends, you can review your results or start a Mindful Cooldown.

Hello,

I have the fitness app on my iPad, iPhone and Apple TV. I used Apple Fitness on my iPad. It worked beautifully. I went on to my Apple TV opened the Fitness App and my Apple Watch Series 5, with my name and picture, showed on the screen. I clicked on my watch. The screen buffered and a message came on the screen that said disconnected watch. On one of the attempts a code showed on my watch’s screen. After several attempts I gave up and used another brand’s fitness app on Apple TV.

Please advise, Lisa
