Insert Key

I have a MacBook Air. I need the insert key for a program I use when I remote into my work computer. Without it I can't work on this from home. I have tried the fn+return--does not work; fn+I--does not work; etc, nothing so far works. I've also tried using an external keyboard with an insert key, but that doesn't work either. Ideas?

Hi Harnessk!

It sounds like you need to use the insert key when accessing a computer remotely, and we're happy to help. The key combination for this is usually Fn-Return, which you can test in a native Mac app like Textedit to verify that it's working there. Depending on what type of system you're using to login to your work computer, the shortcuts may behave differently. If the shortcut is working normally in Textedit, you may want to contact the app developer for the app that you're using to access the remote computer.

Cheers!
