I’ve been trying to record a game with the iOS screen recorder, however it always only record a corner of the screen. When I try it with other apps as well as the home screen it works perfectly fine. What is the problem here?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having some issues capturing a screen recording when using a certain app.
Are any of the other apps you've tested gaming apps? If this issue occurs in only gaming apps, we recommend going to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Content Restrictions, then make sure that screen recording is allowed in the Game Center section.
