Apple Pay Double Click

Since I updated my phone and added my Apple Watch it’s requiring me to double click and then enter passcode to use Apple Pay rather than just holding it near the machine and putting in my passcode. I’ve tried changing this in settings but doesn’t turn off

iPhone 11, iOS 14

please read what it says right under that double-click setting. It does not remove the requirement of double clicking at payment time.
