How do I stop my widgets from disappearing after a reboot in Big Sur

I updated to Big Sur in December and got hooked on the Notification Center. Unfortunately every time I reboot the widgets are gone and I have to add them again. I have researched this on other pages and even used a tip from 2011. That had worked fine until I rebooted. Any suggestions? I would appreciate your guidance and suggestions.

Thanks

Since updating to Mac OS 11.1 I too have this issue. I also have a 27 inch iMac (2017).

Every-time I reboot I need to re-add the widgets. And it's not just this issue.

I can no longer paste custom icons on to folders, folder stacks no longer show icons and importerd photos from my iPhone using 'Image Capture' also show no thumbnails.

I'm finding that while OS 11.0 was excellent and really robust, OS 11.1 has brought a bunch of really irritating bugs.
