Apple Pencil trouble

This is quite complicated and not so easy to explain. First off my Apple Pencil has been working fine until yesterday. I tried drawing but the pencil was showing any marks. I checked to see if it was connected and it wasn’t but I just used it a few days ago prior to this. I tried connecting it but it wouldn’t pop up in the Bluetooth devices. I reset my iPad Pro (2018) and it still didn’t connect. I tried readjusting the pencils tip but still nothing. Whenever I attach the pencil to the magnetic part of the iPad it pops up on the iPad but shows no battery life and doesn’t connect it just pops up it’s name. It won’t even pop up in the Bluetooth. I checked to see if the iPad was up to date and it was. I don’t know what to do and I don’t really want to buy another pencil or iPad because it’s quite expensive.

A standard hard reset does NOT erase everything on your iPad.

You are confusing a low level code reset with a completed device Erase all contents and settings.

Two very different things.

Try the new hard reset procedure for the 2018/2020 iPad Pro models without a Home button.

1. Press and release the volume UP button.

2. Then immediately press and release the volume DOWN button.

3. Then, press and hold the Power button at the top. You will see the Slide to Power off button, but keep on holding down the Power button until you see the Apple logo, then let it go.

Once you have performed all the steps, wait for a few seconds and your iPad Pro will boot up completely to the iPad Pro’s Lock screen.

Good Luck!

It was two days ago. I used it to sketch real quick then left it on my desk. Today I tried using it but the pencil wasn’t connecting or working. It pops up the icon Apple Pencil but no battery or Bluetooth selection pops up. I tried to find video or comments that had the same problems but couldn’t find any. The only ones that I was were ones where you need to tighten the nib, turn off and on Bluetooth and device. I could probably hard resetting it which would delete everything but it’s my last resort.
