Hey there Shwetariti,

We'd like to help get the entire keyboard working right, so let's start ruling out some basics:

  1. Has a restart been tried since this first began? If not, we recommend a restart. Check out the section 'Restart' here: Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac
  2. If you have a compatible model, the latest version is macOS 11.1. You can verify which version number is installed by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. Here's how to first Back up your Mac with Time Machine, and afterwards, here's How to update the software on your Mac. Check out: macOS Big Sur is compatible with these computers
  3. If there's anything connected/paired to your Mac besides the charging cable, please unplug/unpair it, then test for the same issue.
  4. This link shows How to reset the SMC of your Mac. This deals with power distribution of your Mac, and we it's a good idea to reset it to make sure it's not affecting the keyboard.
  5. This other link shows how to Start up your Mac in safe mode. You'll want to test in both safe mode and after restarting normally.

6. If you still have issues, check if your MacBook Air qualifies for this program: Keyboard Service Program for MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro

Take care!
